Poppy Seed Payasam | Gasagase Payasa | Khus Khus Kheer
Ingredients:
1/2 Cup Poppy Seeds
1/4 Cup Cashew
2 Cups Water & (extra water for grinding)
1 Cup Jaggery
1/2 Cup Coconut Milk
1/4 tsp Cardamom Powder
1 tbsp Ghee
Method:
Dry roast poppy seeds until it turns crisp and light golden brown.
Let it cool down completely.
Grind the roasted poppy seeds along with cashews and some water into a smooth paste.
Dissolve and boil the jaggery in water, add poppy seeds paste.
Cook that on low heat for a min, add coconut milk and then add cardamom powder. Mix well.
Add ghee and adjust the consistency.
